Nestled in Magnolia, TX, the Magnolia Recreation Center was designed as a true community hub, complete with a pool, playground, event center, and the landscaped grounds that bring it all together. Ethoscapes came on as landscape subcontractor during construction, then stayed on as the long-term maintenance partner once the site opened its doors.
Solution Provided
Ethoscapes installed the site's landscaping to the owner's and design team's specifications, coordinating closely with other trades on scheduling, site access, and installation order as conditions evolved throughout construction.
To address the drainage conditions, our team added French drains and swales at key points across the property and ringed the pool deck with decorative rock bands, a detail that helps keep debris down and eases maintenance inside the pool fence.
Plant selection followed the neighborhood's lead: azaleas, roses, irises, sycamores, magnolias, crape myrtles, and oaks, chosen to complement the established landscape character of the surrounding community.
Once construction wrapped, maintenance picked up right where installation left off. Our installation team stayed on to care for it: mowing, turf care, shrub and tree upkeep, irrigation monitoring and adjustments, seasonal cleanup, and routine quality inspections. That continuity helped the landscape establish well and kept the grounds looking their best long after installation.
